Ornamental writing
Ornamental writing finds its origins in a study of the cross.
Its roots are therefore nourished by its values, that is, intersection and crossing.
The major symbolism of the cross is union, that of peoples, forces, and synergies.
The original cross, the one from which this ornamental writing originates, is structured on three points.

A vertical axis forming the main pillar symbolizing the foundation and relationship between earth and sky.

Circularity, representing constant movement.

Symmetry, on the vertical and horizontal axes

From this research, which began in 1989, a matrix was born, the central element of this creation.
Based on the observation that the world is losing its diversity and is heading towards a "regressive" standardization, I introduce this slightly crazy idea of starting from unity to meet diversity.
Since then I have been developing and traveling in a matrix universe.

The first phase of development consisted of creating an alphabet.
By making the matrix and its symmetry intersect on a vertical or horizontal axis.

Signs (module of 2) then appear each time there is a crossing, an intersection, a fusion between lines and tangents.

The operation is repeated with modules of two, to create modules of four and with modules of four to create modules of eight.

This research based on a conceptual model subsequently leads to an empirical and intuitive development.

This work is part of the desire for a fusion between multiple cultures and establishes bridges between the knowledge of different times in human history.

These imaginary exhibitions are both a study and a presentation tool. They provide experimental support for this research universe by confronting it with an applied framework, and they open it up to the public by offering a clear presentation of the space.

Imagine these spaces as places of immersion, a plunge into an ornamental world structured according to a unique code. Particular attention is paid to light; it highlights, it outlines, it nourishes the shadow, it reveals the trace.
